Worldly // All (Most)

Worldly

they say hey

i gather you’re rather

rounded, well,

i declare the air

you’ve breathed

and the land you’ve seen

been in the backyard &

through forest evergreen.

amid cities among people

as places as movies,

grooved mountains &

smoothed canyons

sculpted upon your stature,

frolicked in farm pastures

swam in water’s raptures

and flew into cuckoo

nests as a

shining diamond

who knew enough to screw

the rhyming

on roads uniquely yours.

you’ve got a lot

of stuff

carved in character

so much

depth drawn inside

that wise mind

sophisticated and seasoned

reasoned, and cosmopolitan.

i’m in

love with styles

whose been around the block for

myriads of miles

who’ll occupy the clock with

multitudes of worthwhiles

be it blooming by the moon

or dancing to a sunrise tune

or catching feelings at noon

you as an earthling

are attractive from

the experience within.

All (Most)

midnight coyotes

tell me a fortunate

view from the woodlands-

it ain’t ever gonna be perfect;

but it’ll always be perfect enough.

have a smoke

rose colored eyes

i am amply high

quit a habitat

moved a lot

of molehill marks

on skin kissed by

rays of light

from a god named Jah

just shifting spaces

with people on stages

entertaining the kaleidoscope

immaculately within vision.

i’ve heard many

beams of bright

psychic honeybees

from queen aphrodite

listening to glistening

harmonies between yous and me

the melodic rhetoric

in those evenings where everybody’s

good on that for now,

wow, it’s pretty flawless how

we’ve got it down

to bodily science

the music within us

an electric dance heartbeat drop

in, turn up, tune loud

since these feet don’t stop.

i’ve come to find

the mighty tiny

things are those

that matter in bulk

either way:

enough to madden my mind

/

enough to love you all the time.

when it’s not ideal

it still feels

plentiful beautiful

that’s my story

& i’m staying with it

like the wind in the hair

driving conventionally in a convertible

from point peak blank

to tye-dye colored canvas

everytime we glide

on the runway

i’ve come to say

even when it’s rough

it’s not too tough

oddly if it’s one thing

about me

i’m tied to the love of the game

and that’s what sets us free.

reach as high as you can

now a little bit more

we’ve got it all

figured out

and fortunately there is forever

room to grow

in rooms you’ve yet to know

faces to glow

in folks coming to your show

so,

march on & float by

because your best self

is here saying hello.
